These local business, have good potential to rise as a brand among the citizens, but that takes lots of efforts and hard work. But in between, while focusing on the tips and success mantras, we forget the things we should avoid. So here I am listing 4 common mistakes, you should avoid, in order make your website a success.

Don’t Be Selfish

When you make a website, your sole purpose is to make a brand name and sell your products, but don’t just limit yourself to that. Making efforts just on your brand name will look praising yourself too much. When you focus only on selling product, you’re not sounding professional, rather it looks selfish and you only limit yourself to it. You should talk about how you process your products, community, your customer services, everything that makes you a whole business, not just the products. You don’t have to optimize your name for making a brand. You’re a brand because of how you serve your customers, not because you’re just popularizing yourself.

Homepage

We commonly think that homepage should be some images of the products or introduction, but only images are dangerous for search engine rankings. Make sure you add description about your business, products and what are you good at. Think your homepage like a canvass, and tell people through it about your business. You should have content on the homepage, with images, because without content, you wouldn’t end up in rankings.

Mobile friendly

One third of every internet user surfs from mobile phone. As smartphone users have increased, websites are modifying themselves to be responsive, means, to be able to fit according to every screen size. Without it, your visitors would have problems while scrolling down the website, seeing the content closely, and zoom in the images. The whole site becomes a messed up place, giving bounce rates and bad user signals. You search engine rankings will drop and you may suffer loss in the business. Having responsive web design, will help you to fetch more customers, as majority would find your website, compatible and easy to deal with. I will strictly recommend having a responsive web design.
