5 Tips to Revive Your Website After Deadly Google Panda Update

October 10, 2012 by Sathishkumar Varatharajan 2 Comments

When Google Panda Update happened a while ago, many websites were put into a big time trouble. Their efforts to raise their ranking were wiped out with this update. Many websites that once ranked high gradually embraced lower ranks. Now, many of those websites don’t even appear in search engine results.

If you too have a website that was greatly affected by Google Panda Update (of course, negatively), here are 5 tips to revive your website back into the search engine results page:

SEO Strategies You Need to Change After Google Panda Update

Take down all the low quality content

Most websites that were negatively affected by Google Panda Update are websites that Google considers as low quality. A low quality website means that the website has low quality content. So, if you have plenty of content on your website, consider this as an important step to revive your website. You have to eliminate low quality content from your website. Start filtering your content and keep the quality really high.

Remove all connection with low quality websites

If you’d been using “dirty” SEO tactics to rank your website higher in the past, it is now time to remove all connection with low quality websites. Yes, Google considers bad link building practice as spam. Bad link building practice means that you’re putting your links on many low quality websites. If you want to revive your website ranking, at least stop doing this. Also, any link-out to low quality websites should be removed from your website.

Add more quality links

You may not be able to remove all the links that you’ve put on low quality websites. So, instead of trying to remove them all, you have to focus on your new link building strategies. You have to add more quality links that point to your website. Links from guest posting are the best links that you should add to your website.

Update your existing content

Google demands your content to be of top quality, and therefore you have to make sure to meet Google’s demand if you don’t want to throw your website away from the search engine results. If you have any content that is less than perfect or less than high quality, you can always edit or update your content, especially if you don’t want to remove your content.

Smart keyword placement

Google wants your website to flow naturally, and therefore you have to make sure that there is no weird keyword placement in your content. In other words, you have to start placing your keyword in a smart way. The key is good flow. If the keyword looks weird in your content, remove it. You have to keep the flow of your content natural so that people will enjoy reading your content with your keyword in it. Also, Google will favor your content more if you do this.

These are some tips to revive your website after deadly Google Panda Update. So, if you have a website that is heavily affected by this algorithm update, you can start applying these tips to make your appearance back into the search engine results.
