Simple Tips To Improve Your Web Design

September 14, 2015 by Sathishkumar Varatharajan Leave a Comment

Effective and eloquent web design is one of the most important (and the first) parts of the successful online marketing campaign. If your website is not designed properly, no matter how much money you pump into online marketing, you will not get the success you are looking for. You not only want the increase the number of visitors to your website, you also want them to stay there. Also, you want to make sure that they find what they are looking for easily and smoothly. If the visitor has a good experience, they will generate more referral traffic. It will also increase the conversion rate. If you are hiring the best web design company India, they will take care of the design for you. However, here are some simple tips you will still want to be aware of.

Simple Tips To Improve Your Web Design

Logo Matters

Logo is one of the very first things people see when they access your website. If the logo is not among the first things that catches the attention of the visitors then there is definitely something wrong with it. Therefore, it is important to design a logo which is refined, professional, is relevant to your website, and at the same time is eye catching. The logo should appear on all the pages of the website and must have a link to the homepage. The best, and the most strategic, place for the logo is around the top left corner. The logo must not be in text form. It should be a high resolution image.

Make Use of the Intuitive Navigation

Intuitive navigations can truly enhance the appearance of your website. You will notice that most of the websites these days feature primary and secondary menu bars for navigation. Primary navigation is usually in the form of the horizontal menu bar, typically under the log or somewhere along the top. The secondary navigation is again in the form of the horizontal bar and usually immediately under the primary menu bar. It is extremely important to have intuitive navigation. The website layouts with confusing navigations would result in people getting off the page rather quickly. People want things to be easy for them. They don’t want to be figure out things for themselves.

Keep it Uncluttered

A lot of website designers just cram their web pages with tons of information. You can add a lot of information on the same page as long as you are keeping the layout more organized. Many websites these days are flooded with images. Lots of images improperly laid out will only confuse the visitors and they will be more likely to leave your website prematurely. When you are barraged with too much information, your brain starts to shut itself down. Keep the things simple for the visitors and make their lives easier. This will ensure that they stay on your website longer and visit it more frequently. It is all about adding value to the people who are visiting your site. If people find it easy to navigate and find the information they are looking for, they will like your website.
